This recording shows the live product with a real account and the site owner's own, authorized career information. It is not the fictional Alex Demo example used in tutorials 1 to 4, and nothing is sent to any employer.

MyResumeRobot Clean Up Duplicates screen showing possible overlapping career entries and choices of which to keep.

The video does not start on its own and has English captions. Jump to the written transcript or open the transcript as a plain-text file.

The steps

  1. Import each older CV separately and review the facts extracted before adding them.

  2. Exact matching entries are skipped, while similar descriptions may add another entry for review.

  3. Run Clean Up Duplicates to see possible overlaps. Decide which version to keep; scanning does not remove anything automatically.

The recording shows eight suggested duplicate groups, including uncertain matches, and does not show any entries being deleted. The scan will not find every duplicate, so check titles, dates, and credentials against your original records.

Episode 7: Build a richer career profile from older CVs

A LinkedIn PDF gives you a starting point, but it may leave out dates and useful career details.

Older CVs can help fill those gaps. Import each version you have, one at a time.

This first CV brings in earlier I T roles and certifications. Review what the app found before adding it.

The app confirms which entries were added to your profile.

A second CV, written for camp management, brings in different work experience.

It also adds skills and certifications that the first version did not highlight.

A Wi-Fi focused CV adds technical details the other versions did not emphasize.

When I import the same file again, exact matching work and skills are skipped.

But entries described in different words can still be added for you to review.

Clean Up Duplicates looks across the combined profile for possible overlaps.

Here it finds eight possible groups. For each one, you can choose the version to keep. Nothing is removed just because the scan found a match.

Uncertain matches are left off. You decide whether they really describe the same experience or qualification before removing anything.

Three older CVs can turn a thin starting profile into a much fuller picture. Always check the imported dates, titles and credentials against your originals.
