1. Why this page exists

Most tools that say “unlimited” put an asterisk on it and hide the real ceiling in their terms of service. We’d rather just tell you the number. Every limit on My Resume Robot is written on this page, along with the reason it exists. If it isn’t listed here, it isn’t limited.

The short version: the paid plan is built for a real, active job search, and the caps sit well above what almost anyone actually uses. They exist to protect us from automated abuse and runaway AI costs — not to make you count.

2. The actual numbers

These apply to the Job Search monthly plan and to both one-time passes (a pass is the same plan, for a fixed number of days). Monthly figures reset on your billing anniversary — the same day of the month you subscribed — not on the 1st. Passes reset every 30 days from the day you bought them.

WhatLimitWhy it exists
Tailored applications 60 per month Each one runs the AI several times (see §3). 60 a month is roughly two applications every working day. Almost nobody reaches it; if you do, you are searching very hard and we would like to hear from you.
Regenerations per job posting 5 You get the original plus five more tries at the resume, and the same for the cover letter. Beyond that, the AI chat inside the document is the better tool for fine-tuning — and it does not burn a regeneration.
AI chat messages 150 per month Chat runs on our most capable (and most expensive) model. 150 is far above normal use; the cap only stops a runaway script.
Resume & cover letter generation Unlimited Bounded only by the two rows above.
ATS scores, match scores, interview prep Unlimited No cap.
Exports (PDF, DOCX, HTML) Unlimited We will never meter downloading your own documents. That is the oldest dark pattern in this category and we refuse to use it.
Job tracker, version history, imports, templates Unlimited No cap.

Two limits that are not about you: we also rate-limit requests per second and per day at the network level to stop bots and scripts. A real person clicking around will never see those.

3. What counts as one application

One tailored application is one job posting turned into a tailored resume. It is counted the first time you generate a resume for that posting. Everything else you do for that same posting — the cover letter, ATS score, match score, interview prep, and the regenerations in §2 — is part of the same application and does not count again.

Pasting a job posting and then deciding not to pursue it costs nothing. Scoring a posting to see whether it’s worth applying to costs nothing. Only generating the resume counts.

4. If you reach a limit

You will see a clear message inside the app telling you exactly which limit you reached and when it resets. Nothing is silently degraded and nothing is silently charged. Your documents, profile, and history are untouched.

If you genuinely hit the 60-application ceiling in a month, email support@myresumerobot.com. We will look at the account and, for a real job search, raise it. The cap is a guardrail against automation, not a sales tactic.

5. The free plan

The free plan includes 3 tailored applications, for life. Not per month — three total, with no expiry and no card. They are meant to let you judge the output on your own real applications before you pay anything. AI chat and interview prep are not included on the free plan. When you use the three, the account stays open with everything you made in it, and you can upgrade whenever you like.

Because the free allowance is per person, creating additional accounts to collect more free applications is not permitted (see §6).

6. What we don’t allow

  • Automating requests to the service — scripts, bots, or scraping — whether or not you stay under the numbers above.
  • Creating multiple accounts to multiply free allowances or evade a limit.
  • Sharing one account between several people, or reselling access. (If you are a career coach or resume writer working with clients, email sales@myresumerobot.com — we would rather set you up properly.)
  • Using the service to generate content that violates our Terms of Service.

Where we see this, we may limit or close the account. We will always tell you why.

7. Changes to this policy

If we ever change these numbers, we will change them here first, update the date at the top of this page, and email active subscribers before a lower limit takes effect. A change will not affect the billing period you have already paid for. This page is referenced by our Terms of Service; where the two differ, the Terms govern.
