About

Who is behind My Resume Robot

A small, owner-operated Canadian company. One person builds it, runs it and answers the email — and that person has a name.

The person

My Resume Robot is made by Craig Bondy, the founder of LLnet-Inc, an owner-operated IT and networking company in Cochrane, Ontario.

Craig has worked in network engineering since 2000. He earned his CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCP and MCSE+I credentials that year, and in 2006 he launched a wireless internet provider that has since served hundreds of clients across northern Ontario. In 2024 he turned to research and development on AI-assisted software, and My Resume Robot is one of the products that came out of it.

This background is also published on llnet-inc.ca.

Why it exists

Craig built it for himself. After decades of self-employment he had skills for many different kinds of work — far too many to fit on one resume. A single catch-all resume ran long and unfocused. A properly focused one took about an hour to write for every job.

So he built a place to keep his whole career in one profile — every role, skill, credential and interest — and let the software write the focused version for each job he went after. It even resurfaced strengths he had forgotten he had.

That is the whole idea: one profile in, a focused application out. It is aimed most squarely at people whose experience does not fit in one box: career changers, the self-employed, and anyone whose work history spans more than one field.

What it does, in one minute

  1. Store your career once. Type it in, or import an existing resume.
  2. Paste the job you want. The posting tells it what to emphasize.
  3. Get a focused resume and cover letter for that job, with interview preparation and an application tracker alongside.
  4. You read it, edit it and send it. Export as PDF, Word or HTML.

See the real thing, unedited, in the worked example.

How it tries to stay honest

A resume is a document you sign your name to, so the rules here are strict.

It writes from your record, not its imagination

Drafts are built from the facts in your profile. A second pass compares each draft with that profile and rewrites lines your record does not support. Anything it cannot support becomes a “check before you send” question — did you forget to record this? — instead of a claim. It is not perfect, which is why the worked example lists the lines we would still double-check.

Scores are guidance, not verdicts

My Resume Robot's scores provide guidance on resume readability and alignment with a job posting. They are not an employer's actual score, an ATS certification or a guarantee of an interview. Hiring systems and employer settings vary.
